Shillong Cathedral is another impressive monument that accommodates a huge congregation of worshippers.
Shillong has beautiful parks to its credit. Ward’s Lake, one of the tourist attractions of Meghalaya is a man-made lake pleasantly decorated with aligned flowerbeds and sandstone paths. The Botanical garden has a rare species of exotic birds and endangered species of plants. The immaculate Ka Phan Nongliat Park is another popular place to promenade.
The William Sangma Museum displays the local flora, fauna, culture, and anthropology. The Butterfly Museum is another unique museum of Shillong exhibiting rare species of colorful butterflies.
The Lew Duh is one of the most impressive markets in the northeast. It is one of the most bustling and animated places of Shillong where thousands of Khasis flock together. It is a great place to pick up tribal baskets, bows, and arrows.
